    Non-ablative lasers provide progressive improvements over time but need maintenance as collagen naturally breaks down.


    Deeper ablative resurfacing (CO2, deep Er:YAG) can last several years if well maintained with sun protection and skincare. 


    Mild to moderate ablative resurfacing (fractional Er:YAG) results last around 1–2 years before collagen naturally depletes.
