  • Does skin needling hurt?

    Skin needling is generally well tolerated. To ensure maximum comfort, a numbing cream is applied before the treatment. Some clients experience a mild tingling or scratching sensation but discomfort is minimal.

  • How many treatments will I need?

    The number of treatments depends on your skin concerns.

    For general skin rejuvenation, 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart are recommended.

    For acne scars or deep wrinkles, 4–6 sessions may be needed for optimal results.

    Your therapist will create a personalised treatment plan based on your skin goals.

  • How soon will I see results?

    Many clients notice a glow and smoother texture within a few days. However, because skin needling works by stimulating collagen production, full results develop over 4–6 weeks as new collagen forms and the skin regenerates. Improvements continue with each session.

  • What will my skin look like after treatment?

    Immediately after skin needling, you may experience:


    • Mild redness (similar to a light sunburn) that lasts 12–48 hours
    • A feeling of tightness and warmth for a few hours post-treatment
    • Possible mild flaking or dryness as the skin heals

  • Is there any downtime?

    Downtime is minimal. Most people can return to work or daily activities within 24–48 hours. Your skin may appear slightly pink for a day or two but makeup can usually be applied after 24-48 hours if needed.

  • Who is a good candidate for skin needling?

    Skin needling is suitable for most skin types and concerns, including:


    • Fine lines and wrinkles
    • Acne scars and enlarged pores

    However, it may not be suitable for those with active acne, infections or certain skin conditions. A consultation is recommended to assess your suitability.

  • How do I prepare for my treatment?

    • Avoid active skincare ingredients (such as retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 3-5 days before your session.
    • Stay hydrated and protect your skin with SPF 50+ leading up to your treatment.
    • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least a week before your appointment.

  • What aftercare is required?

    • Keep your skin hydrated with a soothing, non-irritating moisturiser.
    • Avoid makeup, excessive sweating, and direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
    • Use a gentle SPF 50+ daily to protect your skin as it heals.
    • Avoid retinol, AHAs, and exfoliants for 5–7 days post-treatment
